Well, Web 2.0 has been in high gear for a couple years now and today there are vast numbers of web-based applications that can replace just about any desktop equivalent. Word processing, accounting, image editing, video production, database development, customer relationship management, and presentation software all have their online counterparts.

But how do these web apps compare with their offline brethren? Are they as reliable? What about privacy and access? Important questions all, but one thing's for sure, desktop applications are being given a run for their moneyer, well maybe not for their money, since these online apps are usually free.

Our first article devoted to the new "Studio Tips & Tricks" topic has been realised by ggfx; I would like to thank ggfx for having accepted to be the first one to publish his article in this section ! This small tutorial concerns "IrfanView", the famous freeware which offer multiple possibilities like "batch conversion" on your pictures. In this article, ggfx explains how using this software to convert your image in one shot, conforming the pictures to "Pinnacle Studio standard" and importing the files without any problems : IrfanView Thumbnails : Batch image conversion.

Notre premier article de la série "Trucs et Astuces" consacré à Pinnacle Studio a été rédigé par ggfx, que je remercie d'avoir accepté d'être le premier à publier dans cette section (il fallait du courage)! Ce mini tutoriel concerne "IrfanView", le célèbre graticiel qui vous permet de réaliser plusieurs "opérations par lot" sur vos images/photos. Dans ce tutoriel, ggfx vous explique comment utiliser le logiciel pour convertir par lots vos images, afin de les conformer au "standard Pinnacle Studio" et pouvoir les importer sans souci : IrfanView Thumbnails : traitement par lot.
