WordPress 2.3.1 is now available. 2.3.1 is a bug-fix and security release for the 2.3 series.

2.3.1 fixes over twenty bugs. Some of the notable fixes are:

• Tagging support for Windows Live Writer
• Fixes for a login bug that affected those with a Blog Address different than
  their WordPress Address
• Faster taxonomy database queries, especially tag intersection queries
• Link importer fixes

Unfortunately, some security issues were found in 2.3. Janek Vind found an XSS problem that can be exploited if your php setup has register_globals enabled. For this reason, upgrading to 2.3.1 is advised.

To solve authorisation problems with SoundSoap Some users of previous versions of SoundSoap PE have experienced authorization issues with Pinnacle Studio (delivered with Studio ULTIMATE). SoundSoap PE 2.1.1 resolves these issues, however, when installed as an update to an existing installation, SoundSoap PE must be reauthorized. Reauthorization requires re-entry of your original SoundSoap PE serial number (*) and Internet access. (*) located on the installer CD sleeve of your Pinnacle Studio Ultimate product- If you do not know your serial number, you may recover it through with link   IMPORTANT: If you currently have SoundSoap PE installed and are not experiencing problems, it is NOT necessary to install SoundSoap PE 2.1.1 To be used with Studio ULTIMATE only Please install the Studio Ultimate CD prior installing SoundSoap PE 2.1.1 If you do not have an internet connection on the computer you are running Pinnacle Studio and BIAS Sound Soap, check this FAQ for alternate authorisation. Pour résoudre les problèmes d'enregistrement de SoundSoap De nombreux utilisateurs ont eu des problèmes avec l'enregistrement/autorisation du logiciel BIAS SoundSoap au sein de Pinnacle Studio (livré avec Studio ULTIMATE). Pinnacle/BIAS ont sorti un utilitaire (SoundSoap V2.1.1) qui résoud ce problème. Si vous avez déjà SoundSoap installé sur votre machine, il vous faudra procéder à une nouvelle autorisation; c'est à dire entrer de nouveau votre numéro de série (*) et avoir votre connexion internet active. (*) vous trouvez ce numéro de série sur la pochette BIAS SoundSoap livré avec Studio - si vous l'avez égaré, vous pouvez récupérer votre No de série par ce lien internet auprès de BIAS IMPORTANT: Inutile d'installer cet utilitaire si vous n'avez aucun problème d'autorisation Utilisation pour Studio ULTIMATE seulement A installer APRÈS le CD Studio Ultimate Si vous n'avez pas d'accès internet sur l'ordinateur où est installé Pinnacle Studio, il vous faut procéder à une autorisation spécifique pour BIAS Sound Soap. More details will be provided in the final release announcement. Until then, download RC1 and let us know if it fixes a particular bug in 2.3 that was annoying you. If you find that something has broken since 2.3, please open a ticket so we can address the problem before the final 2.3.1 release.
